-   What is a M-international bag?

M-international bag is a printed publication (newspapers, magazines, periodicals, books and other publications) of up to 30 kg to be sent to one address.

- What is a Secogram?

Secogram is a postal item intended solely for the blind. It is accepted for delivery in an open form and includes written messages and publications in Braille print, as well as other Braille signs – clichés, audio recordings and typhlo-technical aids.

- What is a Package?

Up to 5 kg printed publications, business and other documents can be sent in a Package.

- What is an International Small Packet?

An International Small Packet is a registered postal item, in which small gifts, souvenirs, unique samples and other valuable but not estimated small objects are sent up to 2 kg in weight.

- How to address a postal item?

Any kind of postal item must be addressed as follows:

Provide the sender’s full address in the upper-left corner of the postal item. The address of the addressee must be provided in the lower-right corner.

Control terms for a postal item delivery in Armenian regions: - 1 day +3

- How does an ordinary postal item differ from a registered item?

Ordinary postal items are not registered, no receipt is provided to the sender and no signature of the addressee is required for the item to be handed. In case of a registered postal item, upon registering the item the sender is provided with a receipt and the item is handed to the addressee upon signature and upon display of an ID document (or a power of attorney) of the addressee.

- What is a tracking number of a postal item?

Tracking number of a postal item is a 13-digit code that has the following format, for instance AA123456789BB

- Which kind of items can be tracked by Track and Trace?

The Tracking Number can be used to trace all the registered items, including those sent by Express Mail Service (EMS).

- How to track a postal item?

In order to trace a postal item, please, enter the Tracking Number in the box “Track and Trace”.

- If receiving a damaged item…

Should the client receive a damaged item, he/she is entitled to demand a comparison of the contents with that described in the documents.  

- What to do if the item is lost or undelivered?

According to the regulations of the Universal Postal Union, a sender should supply a corresponding application concerning lost/delayed item.

- What to do if the item is late?

If the registered item is late or if it is not delivered to the addressee in time, the Sender is entitled to make an inquiry to “Haypost” CJSC.

- What kind of postal items am I entitled to send from the Republic of Armenia?

A postal item can be sent by EMS through any post office of “Haypost” CJSC.

- Which are the maximum permissible weight and dimensions of postal items?

- To which countries can I address a postal item?

By “Haypost” CJSC postal items can be addressed to any country of the world.

- Which items are subject to customs clearance?

Postal items received from abroad and over AMD 150.000 are subject to customs clearance.

Subscription

- What to do if I have not received the subscribed periodical?

Call “Haypost” CJSC Department of Subscriptions at (010)514-514. Our team will solve your problem within shortest period of time.

- I subscribed in my post office but I live at a different address. Can I receive my subscription at the address I prefer? 

Yes, the subscribed periodicals will be delivered to the address you prefer, irrespective of the address of subscription.

- I would like to favor my friend with a periodical/magazine subscription. Can I be the payer and he/she the receiver?

Yes, you can. Moreover, if you subscribe for over AMD 17,000, you will get an AMD 1000 GIFT CARD for making purchases from the list of Post Market items. The GIFT CARD can also be given to friends and relatives.

- Where can I find the subscription list?

-   Shall I be charged for delivery of subscribed periodicals?

No, you won’t. Delivery of subscribed periodicals is totally free of charge.

- How can we organize sale of periodicals or various other goods in “Haypost” post offices?

“Haypost” CJSC is pleased to invite for cooperation individuals and legal entities that are engaged in publishing and printing, as well as in production or import of goods. For details, please contact corresponding division of “Haypost” CJSC.

- What products does “Haypost” CJSC offer its customers in the post offices?

The following range of products can be obtained in “Haypost” CJSC post offices:

- How to apply for renting premises?

EMS

- What is Express Mail Service (EMS)?

Express Mail Service (EMS) is an international express postal service offered by postal-administration members of the Universal Postal Union (UPU). These administrators created the EMS Cooperative in 1998 within the framework of the UPU.

 - Types of items that EMS could deliver:

- Documents

- Goods (commercial or non-commercial value)

Items with Goods contents may be accompanied by supporting documents.

- Which are the maximum permissible weight and dimensions of an EMS item?

Maximum weight of an EMS item:

- Items with document contents 0-2kg

- Items with goods contents 0-30.0kg

The maximum length of any packed item cannot exceed 150cm. The total sum of dimensions cannot exceed 300cm.

- How can I pay for EMS delivery?

Acceptance of an item can be cash and non-cash.

Cash:

After filling out the address label, the Customer shall pay for delivery of the item and a corresponding note thereon shall be made on the label. Payment shall be made in Armenian drams.

Non-Cash:

An EMS item shall be accepted from legal entities for delivery upon non-cash payment if a corresponding agreement thereon is concluded with “Haypost” CJSC in advance.

-  Packaging of an EMS item:

An item with document and goods contents shall be packed by the Sender.  

Packaging of an EMS item subject to customs control shall be done by the Sender and sealed by the Customs Authority.

Packaging should comply with the contents and transportation means of the item.

-  Storage time for an EMS item. 

- An undelivered EMS item can be stored in the EMS processing station for up to 14 days after its receipt, unless there is other correspondence between the issuance and destination operators.

EMS items marked “On demand” are stored for 14 days after their receipt.

- What is “Haypost” CJSC accountable for?

“Haypost” CJSC is accountable to its customers for:

- the loss of an EMS item

- the partial loss of an EMS item contents

- the partial damage of an EMS item contents

- the ungrounded return of an EMS item

Postal operators are accountable neither for customs declarations, irrespective of the fact how they were drawn up by the Sender, nor for the decisions made by customs authorities upon examination of the item.  

“Haypost” CJSC is not liable for lost revenues and incidental damages, irrespective of their origin.

Senders are liable for prohibited contents of the item and for inappropriate packaging.  

- Which are the possible reasons for an EMS item return?

- Refusal by the addressee

- Departure of the addressee

- Undemanded item

- Incomplete address

- Prohibition by customs or other state authorities

- Completion of the storage time

- Sender’s request

- Procedure of accepting requests and claims for detection/identification of an EMS item.

Exchange of information on an EMS item is done electronically, through the Rugby System. Requests and claims are accepted for 6 (six) months after acceptance of the item. Upon demand of the EMS services, the claims and requests are filled out on a special form.

The amount of refund to be paid by “Haypost” CJSC to the EMS service user shall be calculated in the following way:

A decision on refund is drawn by “Haypost” CJSC. The refund is paid based on the Customer’s application and on the results of official investigation of the case.

The address label and the payment receipt (in case of cash payment) are necessarily attached to the application.

“Haypost” CJSC investigates the claim/complaint and sends a written reply.

Refund to legal entities is done by transferring the refunded amount to their account number.

How to make a postal money transfer?

  • Visit the nearest Post office and fill in the blank EP1, which includes:

- sender’s name, surname, or enterprise name;

- sender’s address;

- transferred sum;

- recipient’s name, surname, or enterprise name;

- recipient’s full address or for poste restante;

  • Pay the transferred sum and the service tariff.

If the transferred sum exceeds 400 000 (four hundred thousand) AMD, the Post Office Operator will demand the client to submit an identification document.

  • Submit an identity document (passport, ID card, military service book for people implementing provisional compulsory military service);
  • Take the amount (no commission is charged when paying the amount).

Money transfers shall be paid solely to the recipients mentioned on the transfer or to the authorized representative, on the basis of a power of attorney ratified by notary. Any power of attorney issued in another state shall be ratified by apostle, unless anything else is envisaged by the international agreements of the Republic of Armenia

- How to buy a stamp?

Stamps are sold in the specialized philatelic store located at 28 Nalbandyan street in Post Office N 10 (at the Republic Square) as well as in a few other post offices. "Philatelic Corner" offers stamps, souvenir sheets, stamp thematic collections, stamp annual collections, maxi-cards, First day covers, postcards, and other philatelic materials for sale. In the "Philatelic Corner" you will also find exclusive gifts which help to understand the true value of philately.
